Are you ready to groove your heart out? This fun, playfully challenging drum circle is facilitated by DRUMMM Rhythmic Events founder Jeni Swerdlow, MA-ATR. Open to all ages, levels, cultures, and styles of drumming. No prior musical experience is necessary to participate. Jeni will get your hands moving and grooving on the drum in no time!

Robert Hass is the author of many books of poetry and prose, most recently, What Light Can Do: Essays on Art, Imagination and the Natural World  (Ecco).  He served as the Poet Laureate of the United States from 1995-97 and has been awarded both the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize.  He teaches English at the University of California, Berkeley.
Lyn Hejinian is an essayist, translator, scholar and poet.  She teaches in the University of California, Berkeley English Department.  Her most recent new book of poetry is The Book of A Thousand Eyes (Omnidawn Books, 2012).  In 2009, Hejinian founded the Solidarity Alliance at UC Berkeley, a coalition of unions, workers, staff, students, and faculty fighting against the privatization of public education.
This event is part of Revolution Books' fundraising campaign to raise $1000's.  The funds will enable the store to expand its selection of books, improve its tech equipment, and promote timely and provocative author readings and political events.  Contribute to the store or become a monthly sustainer.
